Isabella Josie celebrity style

Our headbands have had some celebrity attention with Charlotte Hawkins (of Good Morning Britain and Classic FM fame) sharing a beautiful photo of her and her daughter wearing our handcrafted headbands. Charlotte is wearing one of our reversible headbands and her daughter is wearing a matching headband from our Bow range. It's such a gorgeous photo of them both and shows just how popular the current twinning trend is proving to be.

I have been extending my hair accessories range and some supersize hair scrunchies have now joined the line up. The supersize scrunchies are fabulous as they can be worn as either a ruffle style headband or around your ponytail or bun to keep it securely in place.

The last few months seem to of flown by and life has seemed to re-shaped into a new sense of 'normality'.

My millinery studio in Bognor Regis is now back open for one to one consultations. It's so lovely to see clients in person again and to be able to colour match in the real life rather than through a computer screen or from postal colour swatches. If you make a visit, there are a few changes that you may notice to ensure the studio is 'Covid safe'. Apart from the face masks, shields and hand sanitiser we have become more used to, I am now encouraging self-positioning of hats, which does mean that clients have had lots of practice at popping the hat on at the right angle ahead of their event!

I am also holding regular 'hat drop-in's at Cherry Vintage in Chichester again, these sessions are informal and I'm there to share advice and answer any questions people may have on headwear. If you have purchased your hat or headpiece from another maker, you are welcome to bring it into Cherry Vintage to show me - I am more than happy to share with you top tips on how best to secure your hat or how to wear it so that it flatters your face. Please check out my Facebook page for latest dates.

We also had lots of fun at our recent 1940's style workshop at Denmans Gardens, I absolutely love teaching as you get to share skills and help to bring someone else's creative energy into being. It's amazing how everyone starts with the same materials, but yet create such different and unique sculptural works of wearable art.

As well as Cherry Vintage stocking our hair accessories, I'm delighted to say that we have a new stockist - Mille Fleurs in Sevenoaks, so if you are every over that way in Kent, pop in and check them out.
